Today Ms. Regina had the pleasure to join friends in 206 while they were presenting their research on amazing people that made a difference and are celebrated for black history and women's history. They did an amazing job! 👏👏👏

The kids from the Elementary School (Ms. Kelly's class) really enjoyed learning outside of the classroom and meeting our "adopted cow", Harper through the Adopt a cow program that works with local dairy farms. https://www.discoverdairy.com/adopt-a-cow/
We were privileged to visit Myerwood Farm where the students were able to see where the cows live and how they are cared for from infants to adults. Farmer Melanie took us on a tour and explained each area of their farm including the hospital barn, how often they milk the cows, how large they can be, as well as how much milk each cow can produce in a day - 11 gallons! We were able to see the various pens and barns where they live and learned how long they stay in each area - they start in individual pens, then move to a bigger barn where they learn to socialize (she told us it is just like elementary school), then off to the field and the milking barns. The kids even got to pet a couple of calves who were only about a week old. The students have been following Harper's growth journey since the fall, so it was such a treat to see her in person!

Students in 204, at the Haddon Heights campus, learned about the laws of gravity in science. They used several weighted marbles to compare time and speed.

Room 104 at the Haddon Heights Campus has spent the past few weeks studying the different parts of the body and how they work together. One of our favorite activities was exploring how our lungs function. Using simple materials like tape, zip-lock bags, and straws, we created a model to demonstrate how air moves in and out of the lungs.

Students in room 104 at the Haddon Heights Campus had a blast making leprechaun traps! Happy St.Patrick's Day!

Cosmetology students at the Cherry Hill Campus started a new unit on eyelash application…lots of concentration and steady hands required!
