The Haddon Heights Campus celebrated the 100th day of school!
The students and staff dressed like they are 100 years old. They had a whole day of fun and practiced counting to 100!
Part 1

Brookfields Schools Haddon Heights Campus will have a two hour delayed opening tomorrow. Homebound programs are to follow your programs directives.

The students and staff of Brookfield Elementary were all given fabric squares to decorate in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. They used themes such as hope, peace, love, and equality to express themselves artistically. All fabric squares were turned in to make a huge school quilt. The quilt now hangs in the main stairway for all to see! Shout out to Ms. Judi and the Leadership Committee for this awesome idea and shout out to Ms. Vernay for sewing it together!

Brookfield Academy in Cherry Hill and Brookfield Elementary in Haddon Heights will have a two hour delay from the normal start time. A voice message will be forthcoming. Be safe!

Mrs. Jessica's class spent the last couple of weeks learning about the different habitats. The students took their time using shoe boxes and art supplies to make replicas of the arctic, ocean, desert, grasslands, and rainforest!

Emotion and Learning

Ms. Vernay’s class at Brookfield Elementary just finished up our lesson on ocean life. Students studied and created models of sea turtles, crabs, octopuses, coral, and more! Next up, the Arctic!

Brookfield Academy (Cherry Hill) will have a student virtual instruction day tomorrow as a result of high staff illness placing ratios at an unacceptable level.
All staff that are able, are to report to the academy as scheduled and work from there. This is for the academy only. An announcement will go out shortly via phone system.
Reminder that Friday is a staff professional development day for staff. This is a scheduled day off for the students.

A peek at our High School students mentoring our elementary school students. An amazing program at Brookfield Schools!

Part Two:

Part 1: A wonderful activity Wednesday at our Haddon Heights Campus! We began working on fabric squares to put together and make a tapestry to hang in honor of our dreams for the future as inspired by Dr. King! 😀

The cold weather and snow gave Miss Jill's BEST class at Brookfield Elementary School a perfect opportunity to learn about changes in states of matter in science class. The students participated in several hands-on sensory experiments, including making puffy paint for snowmen, painting real snow, making "snow", and their favorite activity - unfreezing the "iceberg" to rescue their frozen animal friends!

Homeward Bound, our Reading to the Rescued partner, has now partnered with the Eagles for pet adoptions and the Cherry Hill Campus is here to help get the word out!!!

With safety in mind, Brookfield Cherry Hill and Brookfield Haddon Heights will be on a 2 Hour delayed opening. Staff and students are to report two hours later than the usual scheduled time. Please be safe out there!

Ms. Vernay's class at the Haddon Heights campus just finished up their two week study of the rainforest in Science. We also worked with our art teacher, Ms. Laura, to create a beautiful rainforest for our science corner.

Haddon Heights Campus Hardest Worker!

Reading to the Rescued 2025! Students engaged in making treats for the shelter dogs and cats as well as getting their reading in!

The students in Ms. Vernay’s class at the Haddon Heights campus created a wall of flags for our 50 states. They are also learning about the capitals and popular tourist attractions across our country.

Cherry Hill Campus Student Arrival Procedures:
Attention Parents/Guardians and Stundents:
This announcement is a reminder regarding arrival and security check procedures. Upon entering the building, students are required to hand over all their belongings, empty their pockets, remove coats and jackets, and prepare themselves for the metal detector. This includes belts, jewelry, and all things metal on their person. This could also include shoes if they are setting off the detector. Please be reminded that each of these items are thoroughly searched. Additionally, we ask that students dress appropriately in warm layers during this winter season. Heavy jackets and coats, ski masks, and all other heavy winter gear are not permitted in the building. If a student refuses to give up any of these items OR does not clear the metal detector with a logical reason for it to go off, that student will need to be picked up. No exceptions will be made. Parents/guardians, we ask that you speak with your students to remind them of these expectations and requirements, otherwise, we will be making phone calls home. We hope that all students will cooperate accordingly, as these are the measures we take to ensure school safety for both students and staff.
Thank you, kindly!
Principal Hakun, Cherry Hill Campus
