Equine week 3 for a lesson on Awareness and Choices 🐴 ❤️

The Great Debate! Students in Ms. Vernay's class at Brookfield Elementary are learning the art of debating in Social Studies. Their teams will debate the following topics this week: Should Cell Phones Be Allowed in Schools?; Are rap songs and videos appropriate for students?; Are violent video games appropriate for middle schoolers? Is social media safe for teens? Students will argue for and against these topics in Social Studies all week to learn and appreciate different perspectives.

Brookfield Students had another wonderful experience reading to our furry friends at Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center. This is a partnership we value as students are elated at the opportunity to move outside the classroom and practice important literacy skills with their four legged friends.
